Independence Day

Happy 4th of July Weekend!

We’ll be celebrating with practice on Sunday (and ok, we might go to a barbecue or two….). Join us to get your yoga on.

For those of you unfamiliar with Ashtanga, it is a traditional form of yoga that flows from pose to pose in a specific way. Each movement is coordinated with the breath and there is a specific drishti or gazing point for each pose, which helps to increase mental focus. During a Mysore style class you will be introduced to the primary series at a pace that is tailored to your needs.

Ashtanga Yoga fits perfectly with the Independence Day theme. Because you learn at your own pace and move with your own breath, the practice can be either quite vigorous or more gentle and therapeutic.

The studio will be open for regular practice times this week but we will be closed Monday for the new moon. Sleep late!

Schedule:
Tuesday through Friday 6:30 AM – 8 AM: Mysore (doors open 6 AM)

Sunday 10 AM – 12 PM: Mysore (doors open 9:30 AM)

Parent/Child Yoga is cancelled this week.
